Drumsheugh Baths Club is one of the oldest and finest private swimming clubs in Britain
We are housed in rather splendid Victorian premises just by the Dean Bridge and we offer our Members a truly unique environment in which to exercise and relax in surroundings that have a very special, and very soothing calm. We have gone to great lengths to make it so. And we plan to keep it that way.
A beautiful 70ft Victorian swimming pool, with the best water quality in Edinburgh swimming at Drumsheugh Baths is a truly unique experience you cannot get anywhere else. Members are fortunate to get their very own lane to swim in on each and every visit.
THE ENTRANCE HALL
The entrance hall contains seating, a cloakroom, and pigeon holes for indoor footwear. Members change from outdoor footwear in the entrance hall before proceeding downstairs to the members' lounge, gym, sauna, steam room and pool.
The Pool
A beautiful 70ft Victorian swimming pool, swimming at Drumsheugh Baths is a truly unique experience you cannot get anywhere else. Members are fortunate to get their very own lane to swim in on each and every visit.
The rings and trapeze
The rings and trapeze have been part of the pool since it was built in 1882. A unique feature of the Club, these are used by old and young members alike.
Sauna, steam room and hot tub
The sauna and steam room are located on poolside near the shallow end of the pool with a cold douche shower and relaxation area alongside. We also have a large hot tub in our shower area for members to relax in.
The gym & studio
Our gym and studio areas are light, intimate spaces fully stocked with a range of cardio and strength equipment – including lots of functional equipment.
The members' lounge
The members' lounge overlooks our beautiful pool and provides a quiet and comfortable place to relax. Free Wi-Fi is available for members.

Circuits
Circuit training is a combination of six or more exercises performed with short rest periods between them for either a set number of repetitions or a prescribed amount of time. It is an excellent way to improve cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength endurance.

Adult Swimming Lessons
Adult Beginners
The beginners class is designed to introduce you to basic water strokes and movement through water. We will guide you through a series of tasks and strokes tailored to your individual needs, whether it’s building up your confidence in the water or introducing you to a new stroke.
Swimming Fitness
The improvers class is ideal for competent swimmers who want to improve their fitness and technique.
Pilates
Builds overall body strength and tone with a focus on core stability. During this mat-based class you will also increase body awareness and mobility while relaxing and energising your mind. Suitable for all fitness levels.

An infusion of Pilates, Tai-Chi and Yoga. This class aims to develop balance, flexibility and strength thus renewing the body and soul. You’ll strengthen your entire body and leave the class feeling calm and centered.

Strength Training

Mindful Tai Chi
Tai Chi class will be doing Mindfulness, followed by Tai Chi exercises, where the participants will experience self-awareness and calmness for daily life. The class will mainly practice the following:

- Various of Yang Style Tai Chi
