I am writing to thank you very much for continuing your membership of the Drumsheugh Baths Club during these difficult times. I would also like to update you on our management during the closure.
Although we lost members at the end of the subscription year, the Board and staff were overwhelmed by the continued support members have shown the Club.
Since the most recent closure we have continued to carry out our planned programme of works and I am pleased to report that a new floor has been laid and a draught free door fitted and double-glazed windows to the studio. This will make attending classes and using the studio much more comfortable.
Also, the trapeze platform, wires and brackets have been renewed and replaced.
The Board and our general manager Paul have been looking at additional areas where investment and maintenance is desirable for the year ahead and we have identified that both the gents’ poolside toilets and entrance hall cloakroom require some upgrading. To minimise disruption to members we have plans to re-tile both areas before reopening. We believe that these refurbishments are important for the enjoyment of current members and present an attractive environment for new members joining to replace those we have lost, thus ensuring that the Club continues to flourish. We have been encouraged by the significant interest from potential new members during lockdown.
We, like you, have been eagerly waiting to hear when we will be able to reopen. The indication from the Scottish government is that this will be the end of April. As soon as permitted, we will be ready to open, with all the required safety measures in place, for you to enjoy the Club.
I will be in touch nearer to opening time, and once again, on behalf of all the staff and the Board, thank you for your ongoing support.
