9 JUNE 2020

Dear Member,

I write to update you on the work that your Board, Paul, and his team have been undertaking during the Club’s closure.

As we are slowly moving out of lockdown, we are starting to prepare the Club for reopening.

With a relatively small membership, The Drumsheugh Baths Club is well placed to follow social distancing rules. The spacious building and individual changing cubicles should mean that only minor adjustments are needed to ensure members can safely enjoy the facilities.

We have trialed a simple booking system for swimming lanes and fitness classes. Gym equipment has been moved around to ensure adherence to guidelines, and extra cleaning rotas have been drawn up so the Club is kept clean and safe. Nearer reopening time, we will circulate detailed plans but please be assured Paul and the team are working hard so we are ready and able to open as soon as allowed.

Maintenance of the plant and pool has continued, and we have carried out repairs to the poolside floor tiles, as well as decoration around the Club.

In addition, to avoid any disruption to members after reopening, we are using the closure to re-tile the downstairs poolside shower area.  As you may recall, many of the old tiles had fallen off. The tiler, plumbers and electricians will be starting on site this week to ensure the work is completed and the area is ready for members’ return.

On behalf of the Board and staff I would like to thank you for continuing to support the Club and we look forward to welcoming you back as soon as permitted.
