Drumsheugh Baths Club Board Vacancy – Finance Director
As members will know, the Club relies on a Board of volunteer Directors, which has responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Club, working closely with our General Manager and his team. Following 6 years of service as The Drumsheugh Baths finance director and company secretary, Gordon Henry has decided that it is time for him to stand down, which he plans to do in February 2022. I would like to thank him for his valuable years of service to the Club.
The Board is therefore seeking applications from members with relevant financial experience who would be interested in this role. Please note that the intention is that the company secretarial aspects of the role will be taken on by the director with responsibility for legal matters.
The Board meets formally once a month (currently by Zoom) and works in a very collegiate way, giving hands-on support to the General Manager, as required. In addition to the responsibilities shared by all Board members, the responsibilities of the Finance Director include:
- Reviewing the quarterly Management Accounts
- Circulating financial information and projections to the Board to assist planning
- Assisting the General Manager with budgeting and managing cashflow
- Liaising with Auditors, the Bank and other Club financial advisors.
