Anna

Anna teaches Pilates and Barre at the Club and loves sharing the benefits with everyone she teaches. Anna has been teaching since 2019 but used Pilates for a long time, as she found it a perfect solution to strengthen, rehabilitate and power her body with low impact. Pilates really is for everyone.

Anna also owns the brand Mardy Bum Active Club, a premium sportswear brand set to add a bit of fun to your work out. With one motivation to make you move, they are a small brand striving to do things the right way, using recycled yarns, producing in the UK and selling out before producing more. Mostly they are fun, designed to be different but dedicated to comfort and movement.

Caroline

Caroline’s first experience of yoga was when she attended a weekend yoga retreat 25 years ago and she has been practising yoga ever since. After having children she was aware that she could not return to her career in fashion with the amount of travelling involved, so began to explore the possibility of yoga as a career change  on the one year Foundation course with Yoga Scotland.

Furthering her studies as a Teen Yoga teacher as well as completing Mental Health First Aid training for both adults and young people. She is a Menopause Yoga accredited teacher, running Menopause workshops with her sister, a GP in Edinburgh and London, to help women navigate this transition in their lives. She has also had the privilege of training with Donna Farhi & completed her Yin Yoga qualification.

Most recently Caroline completed her 100hrs Trauma-Informed Yoga & Embodied Social Change training which included trauma theory, embodied and self-reflective practice, and key trauma-informed facilitation skills for sharing body-based practices safely and effectively. She is part of the teaching team at Edinburgh Community Yoga,  sharing yoga with those who face cultural, economic and health barriers in accessing this ancient health and wellbeing practice. She is passionate in communicating that yoga is an inclusive practice for every body and has seen the many benefits for herself and those who attend her classes.
