Paul Dunlop

Paul started at Drumsheugh Baths in December 2017 as a Duty Manager, after spending 6 years at LivingWell Health Club as a fitness instructor, personal trainer and assistant manager. Paul took over the role as Operations Manager in May 2018.

Jorge Palermo


Jorge started his career in the leisure industry in 2005 where he worked as a leisure attendant at a private holiday park. In the same year he joined Drumsheugh Baths Club as a casual member of staff before being given the opportunity to take on the role on a permanent basis.

Over time Jorge stepped in as relief Duty Manager to allow him to gain valuable knowledge of how the Club is run. In 2007, Jorge was appointed full-time Duty Manager, one of three, where his main role is to support the manager in the daily running of the Club.

Shannon Quinn

Shannon has worked within the leisure industry for 7 years and was appointed one of three Duty Managers in June 2018 and has previous experience of working as a Fitness Instructor within a private members Golf and Country Club and as a Supervisor of a private sport facility.

Shannon graduated in 2016 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Sport and Exercise and holds several fitness class qualifications giving her a wide breadth of knowledge of this industry. She is responsible for the everyday running of the club while on shift and is willing to assist with any enquires that you may have.

Gordon Bennett-Palmer


Gordon comes to Drumsheugh with a wealth of experience in the leisure industry having worked in the public, private and corporate sectors of the health & wellbeing industry with the last 18 plus years being at supervisor or managerial level. Away from work he is a keen cyclist, with the majority of his spare time spent with his two young girls.

Joe Penman

Leisure Attendant

Joe joined the Drumsheugh team in October 2018 after gaining his pool lifeguard qualification shortly after leaving school. A former swimmer at national level he will be on hand to offer any swimming advice to members.

Katie Lessels


Katie joined Drumsheugh Baths in October 2019 after spending 3 months in the USA working as a Lifeguard and swimming teacher for children.

Previously, Katie worked as a Lifeguard in a holiday park.

Lesley Inglis

Lesley swam competitively until she was 18, before taking a break to focus on studying, but returned to competitive swimming a few years later at masters events. Her love of swimming has never left her and whilst teaching her two children how to swim, she discovered her passion for teaching swimming, getting involved as a teacher and coach when they got involved in club swimming and this continues today some 18 years later where she continues, teaching children and adults of all ages from novice up to national level and has earned qualifications in both teaching & life-saving.

Lesley’s’ aim is to create a fun learning environment for all swimmers that will allow their techniques to flourish and has tried and tested many approaches with different techniques over the years to find the ones that are the most effective. These can be applied to any level of swimmer, helping everyone to reach their swimming goals.

Eric Potts

Personal Trainer

Eric has over 10 years personal training experience. Through his involvement in basketball in the UK and the US he studied sports coaching at university, which then developed into personal training. He is motivated to help his clients reach their goals. His main areas of expertise are in resistance and body weight training. This has given Eric a wide set of skills and knowledge which he uses to make sessions fun and effective.
